Dialysis Rounds

There are two options to add a patient to a Dialysis Round schedule:

Option 1 - From Patient Setup

1. Click on the Dialysis Tab.
   
    
2. Click on the New button.
   
    
3. Enter the patient's Dialysis Information and Dialysis Schedule.
   
4. Press the Save button.
   
    

Option 2 - From the EMR Dialysis Visits Chart Tab

1. Click on Setup button under the Dialysis Schedule.
   
    
2. Click the New button.
   
    
3. Enter the patient's Dialysis Information and Dialysis Schedule.​
   
4. Press the Save button.
   

To view a Dialysis Round Schedule:

1. Navigate to the EMR Portal.
   
    
2. Select the round Date.
   
    
3. Open the Dialysis Rounds settings.
   
    
4. Select the Dialysis Center / Unit.
   
    
5. View the Dialysis Rounds Schedule.
   

To document a dialysis round visit for dialysis billing:

1. Navigate to the EMR Portal.
   
    
2. Choose your Dialysis Unit.
   
    
3. Click on the patient's Dialysis Visit Count button next to the patient's name in the Dialysis Rounds' list.
   
4. Select the appropriate Visit Level (Comprehensive Visit or Visit).
   
5. This opens the Dialysis Visits chart tab. Fill out the dialysis Visit information as appropriate.
   
6. Press the Save button. The dialysis visit is now logged for billing.
   
7. Click on the SOAP Note chart tab.
   
8. Review the note. Sign/Enter Your PIN to finalize your documentation and sign off on your note.
   
9. Press the Save button.

To edit the provider, date, or level of a Dialysis Round visit:

1. Navigate to the EMR Portal.
   
    
2. Choose your Dialysis Unit via the Dialysis Rounds dropdown in the left-hand navigation pane.
   
    
3. Click on the Dialysis Visit Count button next to the patient's name in the Dialysis Rounds' list.
   
    
4. Select Edit Visit.
   
    
5. The dialysis visits for the current month will display, select the Visit to edit.
   
5. Edit the dialysis visit as appropriate.
   
5. Press the Save button.
   

To delete a Dialysis Round Visit:

1. Navigate to the EMR Portal.
   
    
2. Choose the Dialysis Unit via the Dialysis Rounds dropdown in the left-hand navigation pane.
   
    
3. Click on the Visit Count button next to the patient's name in the Dialysis Round schedule.
   
    
4. Select Edit Visit.
   
    
5. Click on the Visit you wish to delete.
   
5. Right-click over the visit and select Delete Visit to remove it.
   

To inactivate a patient from a Dialysis Rounds schedule due to transfer, patient death, or other reason:

Option 1 - From Patient Setup

1. Click on the Dialysis Tab.
   
    
2. Click the New button.
   NOTE: Do not edit a current Dialysis Event as this will impact billing adversely.
   
    
3. Select the Effective Date for the new Dialysis Event, then choose an Inactive Type via the Event Dropdown.
4. Press the Save button.
   
    

Option 2 - From the EMR Dialysis Visits Chart Tab

1. Click on the patient's Dialysis Schedule.
   
    
2. Click the New button.
   NOTE: Do not edit a current Dialysis Event as this will impact billing adversely.
   
    
3. Select the Effective Date for the new Dialysis Event, then choose an Inactive Type via the Event Dropdown.
4. Press the Save button.
   

To remove a patient from a Dialysis Round schedule who was entered in error:

Option 1 - from Patient Setup

1. Click on the "Dialysis" tab
   
   
   
   
2. Select the Dialysis Schedule to remove
   
    
   
   
3. Right-click on the Dialysis Schedule and select the "Delete Entry" option
   
   
   

Option 2 - From the EMR Dialysis Visits Chart Tab

1. Click on the Setup button under the Dialysis Schedule
   
   
   
   
2. Select the Dialysis Schedule to remove
   
   
   
   
3. Right-click on the Dialysis Schedule and select the "Delete Entry" option

1. Navigate to the EMR Portal.
   
    
2. Choose your Dialysis Unit.
   
    
3. Click on the patient's Dialysis Visit Count button next to the patient's name in the Dialysis Rounds' list.
   
4. Select the appropriate Visit Level (Comprehensive Visit or Visit).
   
5. This opens the Dialysis Visits chart tab. Fill out the dialysis Visit information as appropriate.
   
6. Press the Save button. The dialysis visit is now logged for billing.
