One portion of the EMR Schedule is the Office Schedule. This is the primary scheduled used by most practices as it is directly integrated with the iScheduler. Most practices use this to manage appointments at their office, at surgery centers, or virtual visits.
In the event that your practice also rounds on patients - either at a hospital or dialysis clinic - there are separate schedules to manage those workflows.
Office Schedule Settings
Before you start using the Office Schedule, it may be helpful to review and adjust the settings to ensure you are seeing exactly what you want to see.
These settings can be found on the left hand side of the screen:
Setting Name | How it is used |
---|---|
Resources | This allows a user to determine the list of appointments that will be displayed based on the resource that they are scheduled with. Users can add one to many resources if they work with multiple schedules. |
Patients to Display | This value is used in coordinate with the other types of schedules (Hospital Rounds and Dialysis Rounds). The number represents how many patients, at a minimum, should show in the Office Schedule. As this number gets larger, the other schedule types will get smaller. |
Disp. Chief Complaint | This determines if the chief complaint for the appointment is displayed. |
Disp. Appointment Status | This determines if the appointment status for the appointment is displayed. |
Disp. Room Status | This determines if the room status for the appointment is displayed. |
Only Checked In | This will determine if only appointments that are in a status of 'Checked In' are displayed. |
Time Checked In | This will display the time that the appointment was moved to a Checked In status. |
Superbill/SOAP Status | This will display if the Superbill or SOAP Note has been started or completed for this appointment. |
Auto Refresh | This will force the schedule to refresh every 15 seconds. |
Intake Status | This will display how much of the intake the patient has completed as well as how much of the required fields the patient has completed. |
Customizing the Appointment View
Users may modify setting to change how appointments display in the list. These settings will control the color of the appointment on the schedule to reflect either the appointment type, appointment status, or room status.
- User Setting: EMR Primary Appointment Color (Background)
- User Setting: EMR Secondary Appointment Color (Right Side Bar)
