Statement Warnings

This warning is a demographic warning relating to information that can be found on the Patient Setup screen. It indicates that the date of birth for the responsible party designates the responsible party as a minor or is blank. In most cases practices will want to be sure that they are sending statements to an adult responsible party and not a child.

1. Click Fix Issue to open Patient Setup
2. Update the Date of Birth or, if Same as Patient, update the Date of Birth on the Demographics tab.

This warning is a demographic warning relating to information that can be found in Financial Class Setup. It indicates that Primary Insurance Financial Class for the patient has the Hold Statement check box selected. To fix the issue you will need to remove the hold on the financial class. This should only be done when the reason the hold was placed no longer exists.

1. Click Fix Issue and the financial class will be displayed.
   
2. Go to Setup > Payers. Click the Gear Icon.
   
3. Under Setup select Financial Class.
   
4. Select your class from above and uncheck the box to remove the hold.

This warning is a demographic warning relating to information that can be found on the Patient Setup screen. It indicates an issue with the patient validation check. The Patient label will be highlighted in pink for the patient that failed.

1. Click the pink Patient label in the Statement Details section to open the validation error screen.
   
2. Click the Patient button to open the Edit Patient Setup screen.
   
3. Correct the validation error and Save the Patient.
   
4. Close the patient to return to the Statement Details screen.

This warning is a demographic warning relating to information that can be found on the Edit Claim screen. It indicates an issue with the claim validation check. The Date of Service will be highlighted in pink for the Claim that failed validation.

1. Click the pink date of service field to open the validation error screen.
   
2. Click the Claim button to edit the claim.
   
3. Correct the validation error and Save the claim.
   
   
4. Close the claim to return to the Statement Details screen.

This warning is a demographic warning relating to information that can be found on the Patient Setup screen. It indicates that, in patient setup, the check box for 'Do NOT print Statements' is selected. In order to generate a statement the box will have to be unselected.  This should only be done if the box was selected in error or the reason the box was selected no longer exists.

1. Click the Fix Issue button to open the Patient Setup screen.
   
2. Uncheck the Do NOT print Statements box and click Save.
   
3. Close the Patient to return the Statement Detail screen.

This warning is a demographic warning relating to information that can be found on the Patient Setup screen. It indicates that the responsible party address is incomplete. Responsible party's address is a required field for statements.

1. Click the Fix Issue button to open the Patient Setup screen.
   
2. Correct the missing address information on the patient or responsible party and click Save.
   
3. Close the Patient to return to the Statement Detail screen.

This warning is a financial warning relating to information that can be found in Patient History. It indicates that the account has open credits that may need to be applied before sending out the statement.

1. Click Fix Issue to Open the Patient Transaction History screen.
   
2. Transfer/Refund the credit balance(s) as necessary.

This warning is a financial warning relating to information that can be found on the Receipts screen. It indicates that the responsible party has open receipts that may need to be applied before sending out the statement.

1. Click Fix Issue to Open the Receipt Search with the open receipts.
   
2. Double Click a Receipt to open the Receipt screen to review/apply the receipt.

This warning is a financial warning relating to information found on the Statement Setup screen. It indicates the statement balance is less than the minimum balance setting in Statement Setup. This statement can be ignored. If necessary to send the statement out the user will need to lower the minimum statement amount setting in Statement Setup.

1. Click Fix Issue to open the Statement Setup screen.
   
2. Update the Threshold setting accordingly for the statement to qualify.
   
3. Close the Statement Settings screen to return to Statement Details.
