Allergies

The Allergies section of the OfficeEMR Mobile patient chart allows a user to easily see all allergy records for a patient as well as add new items to a patient's allergy list. The list of allergy items is directly in-sync with the Allergy you see on the desktop.

The Allergies window in the OfficeEMR Mobile application will allow a user to quickly view all active and inactive allergies for a patient. 

Steps

1. Search for a patient and open that patient's chart: Search for a patient
2. The Summary tab will be displayed once the chart is opened.
3. Tap the Allergies icon on the toolbar
   
   
4. The Allergy search will display by default.  Tap the History tab to view active and past allergies.
   
   

5. The patient's active and past allergies will be displayed.  All active allergies will be sorted to the top.  Each allergy will display the description and symptoms for those allergies.
   

The Allergy window in the OfficeEMR Mobile application will allow a user to add a new allergy to the patient's active allergy list.  This allergy is automatically made available in the patient's chart on the desktop version of the application.

Steps

1. Search for a patient and open that patient's chart: Search for a patient
2. The Summary tab will be displayed once the chart is opened.
3. Tap the Allergies icon on the toolbar.
   
   
4. The Allergy search will display by default.  The allergy search grid will display commonly used allergies based on your past usage within the application. If you see what you are looking for, simply tab the allergy.  Otherwise, start typing in the name of the problem or diagnosis code and click Search.
   
   
5. Tap the desired allergy from list and enter the details for the allergy.
   
   
   
6. Click Save.
   

Problem List Details

• Description: The name of the allergy.
• Symptom #1-5:  A searchable list of symptoms.
• Comments:  Additional notes about this allergy for this patient.

The Allergy window in the OfficeEMR Mobile application will allow a user to mark an allergy list as 'Reviewed'.  This indicates for a given date that the list of allergies on file for the patient was reviewed by the practice.

Steps

1. Search for a patient and open that patient's chart: Search for a patient
2. Navigate to the patient's Allergy History: View Allergy History from OfficeEMR Mobile
3. Tap the Review button.
   
   
   
4. The Review History for this patient will display. This includes data about who and when the allergy list was reviewed in the past. Check the Reviewed box.
   
   
5. Click Save.
   
6. A dialogue will appear to confirm that the review was successful.  Click OK.
