Understanding Practice Aging Results

The Practice Aging report can quickly show you several metrics that contribute to the financial health of your practice. When looking at this amount of data, though, it's very important to understand what you're looking at. These descriptions will concern the financial totals that you see on the report, and can generally be broken out by whether users selected "Service Dates" or "Post Dates" under their Report Parameters.

Total Remaining BalancesTotal Remaining Balances by Charge Service Date. Collection RatesTotal Payments / Total Charges, shown as a percentage. This essentially shows what percentage of charges the practice has received in payments for each given month. Total Payments / Total Charges, shown as a percentage.
