Analytic Reporting Basics

About Analytic Reports in iSalus

Analytic Reporting is a powerful tool that allows a practice to report against key business metrics using standardized tools like Microsoft Excel.  This is accomplished by sending information to a Data Warehouse on a recurring basis.  Users can then access this data through a special connection that is configured in Microsoft Excel.  This special connection is accomplished through an Office Data Connection file (.odc)  that connects to an Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) database.  Once a user launches MS Excel with the necessary connection, Microsoft's Pivot Table features are enabled that allow a report to be created.  Click here to learn more about how to use Microsoft Pivot Tables.
